Description
Although the August 2026 solar eclipse was not a full one as viewed from Leipzig, Germany, at its maximum 86% of the solar disk was covered by the moon, so still an impressive sight. Luckily the weather was mostly clear, but with some very thin cloud layer most of the eclipse duration. This made everything look a bit more fuzzy, but also added a beautiful glow to it all.
As the eclipse happened close to sunset, it was only possible to view it up to its maximum, but soon after that the sun disappeared behind the buildings on the horizon. Altogether still highly worth it!
