Predator publishers vs. beautiful birds.
Predator publishers keep coming up with new (and stupid) ideas all the time. I just received this email offering to write my autobiography for me, including my science. I’ll reproduce the email in full (for a good laugh), including the company name and address, just to shame them.
It would almost be funny if it wasn’t so sad. Please don’t ever buy any books from this publisher!
But to end this post on a more whimsical (although completely unrelated) note, here is a nice image I captured just a few days ago. An oriental white-eye playing peekaboo in a beautiful red flower.
I certainly prefer beautiful birds over predator publishers…
whimsical (adj.): Determined by chance or impulse or whim rather than by necessity or reason. Playful or fanciful, especially in a humorous way. (Source: The Free Dictionary)
In an effort to continue looking at the bright side of life in these worrying times, the Whim of the Week series features sometimes funny or unusual, sometimes beautiful or inspiring, but generally whimsical observations I happen to capture on camera during my wanderings around the world.
