Vöslauerhütte, Austria

8 March 2020

From Bad Vöslau along the Harzberg Steinbruch (natural quarry) up to the Vöslauerhütte, and back down via an alternative trail.

The pretty church in Bad Vöslau.

Some dug-out caves which were supposedly used as ovens (for baking bricks).

Then the Harzberg Steinbruch, formed over millions of years along a minor fault line.

The "klettergarten" (climbing garden).

The view from the Jubiläumskreuz, the highest point of this hike, near the Vöslauerhütte.

On the way back down, a view towards the town of Baden.

And the Rathaus (town hall) back in Bad Vöslau.

A panoramic view of the Harzberg Steinbruch.
