MacRitchie Reservoir, Singapore

12 January 2019

A hike around the MacRitchie Reservoir, including the treetop walk. Saw a whole bunch of monkeys on this hike!!

Through dense rainforest.

First views of the reservoir.

And on through the forest.

Then the treetop walk, a narrow suspension bridge above the treetops.

With a view back at the reservoir.

And on through the forest.

This must be a greater racket-tailed drongo, with its distinctive two plumes at the end of its tail. Unfortunately I had to shoot against the light, so no detail, but a wonderful sighting anyway.

And then, an even better sighting! A group of monkeys...

Two playing juveniles.

Then on to the Jelutong Tower, with another nice view over the forest canopy.

And on through the forest.

Back along the edge of the reservoir.

And another group of monkeys. My lucky day!

A panoramic view across the forest canopy from the Jelutong Tower.

And across part of the reservoir.
