A lovely walk around the Indonesian island of Penyengat, which was a lot more interesting than I had expected. In the 18th century, this island was established as a fort for the sultanate of Johor-Riau.
To get to Penyengat, it takes a 15min boat ride from Tanjung Pinang on Bintan Island in one of these "pompongs".
Halfway there...
The colorful boat jetty on Pulau Penyengat.
Then I just walked all around the island.
