Vienna, Austria

28 April 2019

An "urban hike" from home through Vienna. It's already the third time I live here for a little while, but still enjoy wandering around the city. There is just so much beautiful architecture everywhere.
Here's a small impression. There's lots more of course, but I'll leave some for a next time.

The city government office in the district (Währing) where I currently live.

Even the metro stations in Vienna are beautiful!

Then the Liechtenstein garden palace.

On to the Donaukanal (Danube canal), with a rather unusual building for Vienna, the Roassauer Kaserne (old military barracks).

And into the city center, with the Stephansdom (St. Stephen's cathedral). Hard to photograph, as it's too big, and the light was not good (not to mention all the scaffolding).

The Hofburg, former imperial palace, where you simply can't dodge the many tourists...

And the Josephinum along the Währingerstrasse.
