Ruta de Pedra en Sec, Spain (Day 7)

26 March 2017

From Soller to Biniaraix and up the Barranc de Biniaraix, over to the Embassament de Cuber (water reservoir), then up and through the Pas de Llis to the refugi Tossals Verds. Another long but spectacular day.

A view back at Soller from Biniaraix.

Then the long climb up the Barranc de Biniaraix, a dry-stone path up into a narrow canyon.

A view back on Soller from up high.

The first view of the lake at Cuber.

A pretty lunch spot right next to the lake.

Two interesting finds right at my lunch spot.

A good view of Puig Major, the highest mountain in Mallorca. It's actually a military area, with an ugly radar installation on top. What a shame!

Then up and over the Coll de sa Coma des Ases.

With very different views on the other side.

The Pas de Llis.

Finally, after a long day, a view of the refugi Tossals Verds (right in the middle of that natural stone wall on the other side).

A welcome restplace for the night.

A panoramic view across the lake (scroll to see it all).

And a panoramic view from the col looking back at the lake and Puig Major.

The hike and elevation profile.
