Whim of the Week – 43

Going for a stroll ’round the neighborhood…

I just arrived in St. Wolfgang, a lovely little village along a beautiful lake in the Salzkammergut region of Austria. While wandering through the village (which is almost empty this time of year), I encountered a big bird going for a stroll ’round the neighborhood. It seemed to know exactly where it was going, and wasn’t bothered by anyone or anything. Probably on the way to the pub to meet up with its mates…

Anyway, I had a nice afternoon wandering around the village and along the lake. Got some real hikes planned for the next several days…

In an effort to continue looking at the bright side of life in these worrying times, the Whim of the Week series features sometimes funny or unusual, sometimes beautiful or inspiring, but generally whimsical observations I happen to capture on camera during my wanderings around the world.
