Montpellier, France

19 August 2018

Another "urban hike". Took some time out of the Evol2018 conference to wander around the beautiful old town of Montpellier for a couple of hours. Used to live here for 6 months a long time ago. Nice to revive those memories!

Starting at the Place de la Comedie.

With its opera house.

The old Saint-Come amphitheater.

The Eglise Saint-Roch.

And the Eglise Sainte-Anne.

The Palais de Justice (courthouse).

Montpellier's Arc de Triomphe.

The Saint-Clement aquaduct.

A peak at the Promenade de Peyrou through the Chateau d'Eau.

Another view over the Promenade de Peyrou with the Arc de Triomphe and the Eglise Sainte-Anne in the background.

The Saint-Pierre cathedral popping up above the trees.

The courthouse, Sainte-Anne church, and Arc de Triomphe.

The Saint-Pierre cathedral.

Looking up at the Place de la Canourgue.

A side entrance of the Saint-Pierre cathedral.

The former Ursuline convent, then women prison, and now dance center.

Some random little streets.

The Musee Fabre.

And finally, the Lycee Joffre.
