Imperial Palace, Tokyo, Japan

Walked around in central Tokyo for several hours, still trying to get over the jet-lag. Visited the imperial palace and its beautiful east gardens, and then Hie-Jinja, a famous shinto shrine.

Then Hie-Jinja, a famous and still living and breathing shinto shrine...

...with its beautiful tunnel of "torii" (gates). A Japanese woman in matching kimono was just walking down the stairs...
